NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF YEWA STUDENTS (NATIONAL BODY)
NO TO INJUSTICE KILLING BY THE NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE (NCS)
On the 7th Oct 2019 NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF YEWA STUDENTS (NATIONAL BODY) write to the general public on the killing of students in Yewa land by the NCS but nothing was done and which after that so many lives has been lost by this same government law enforcement (customs).
Just on Friday 30th April 2020 the Nigeria Customs cut short the live of a young boy (Ridwan Bello),an SSS2 student of Area community High School, Owode-yewa who died after being hit by a stray bullet from a sporadic shooting by a custom officer during a raid in a house in Owode-yewa around 8am. That young boy could be me,could be you, could be your child. The customs has just indirectly tell us that the life of our youth doesn't matter. In a statement release on the 9th Oct 2019 the governor of Ogun state Prince Dapo abiodun said "No matter the circumstances,we found this condemnable.we would not fold our arms and watch our future leaders killed in that manner" .
In the press release by the National Association of Yewa Students on the 7th Oct 2019 said "A drastic step must be taken concerning this issue or else we will be forced to use our strength and power against the Nigeria Customs Service.
Our heart is heavy and we feel sad that this heartless attitude is reoccurring again after the killing of 3 students in Yewa land Oct 2019.We are sick and tired of this reckless and indiscriminate killing of our youth.
At this point Nigerians must rise up and fight, if the lives that were been cut-short happens to be a child of a politician something would have been done.
NAYES NATIONAL BODY Say No to killing of our youth in Yewa land by Nigeria Customs.Help Fight this.
